Eyes too big for my stomach | 100 books in 1 year

by You Have My Word

I kicked off a 100 books in 1 year challenge yesterday, 1 June.

Maybe my eyes are too big for my stomach, and maybe I’m biting off more than I can chew, but I have been known to take on more than I can handle sometimes. Call it ambitious, call it whatever you like. So here it is:

100 books in 365 days.

I do love reading a lot – maybe not as much as writing, but nevertheless. I don’t think I need to explain the benefits of reading to you either but I’m excited about vocab expansion, imagination exploration and really just broadening my knowledge of different writing styles and topics.

I was inspired by the lovely Elora Nicole and will hopefully, with all my might, reach this goal. You may even get a book review or two along the way (that is, if I even get time to write in this time).

Practically, I’ll hashtag with #100booksin1year so you can keep track and keep up-to-date with what I’m reading. I’ll have a page too, dedicated to this, listing books as I finish them. Here you can leave suggestions, reviews and (lots of) encouragement.

I’m feeling rather excited about this.

(This post could have probably been longer, but I need to go read. Thanks, bye.)
