God with us

by You Have My Word

I am insufficient;

You are enough.

You are

I am,

the great.

I am faithless, fleeting;

You are furiously fending for me.

I falter;

You are faithful

Still.

Be.

God.

Know.

I penned this poem mindlessly in a few minutes of feeling not-good-enough. Simple in its form, more profound upon reflection. It wasn’t until I’d finished that I noticed it can be read backwards and forwards and still make sense – even the title. Read it again. I believe God is speaking something deep into the being of my spirit, something I can’t fully grasp yet.
